1. Nepal Medical Council (NMC) Special Exam Form Filling Deadline

👉 Details: The online form filling deadline for the Special Exam to be conducted by the Nepal Medical Council on Chaitra 19 and 20 is ending this week. The last date for filling the form with regular fee was fixed till Falgun 28, but arrangements have been made to fill the form by paying a late fee till Falgun 29 and 30. This exam will be conducted at the Institute of Engineering Studies (IOE) in Pulchowk.

2. SEE 2082 Preparation and Arrangements Regarding Examination Center

👉 Details: The National Examination Board (NEB) has brought the preparation for the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) to be conducted from Chaitra 19 to Chaitra 29 to the final stage. The board has issued a notice regarding the determination of examination centers, and has made arrangements to designate centers in coordination with the local level to maintain the convenience of students and the dignity of the examination. Strict instructions have also been issued that if the examination is given from any other center than the designated center, the student’s examination will be canceled.

3. Protest demanding reforms in Nepal Scouts

👉 Details: The ‘Nepal Scout Purification Campaign’ has started a silent sit-in in front of the central office of the Scouts since Falgun 27, demanding that transparency be maintained in Nepal Scouts and that the leadership take responsibility. The agitating party has warned that it will start a relay hunger strike from Chaitra 1 if the concerned body does not address its demands in time.

4. Teaching and learning fully resumed in schools after the election

👉 Details: Teaching and learning have fully resumed in most public schools across the country that were used as polling stations and counting sites during the elections to the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly held on Falgun 21. Schools are preparing to conduct additional classes to manage the academic calendar, which has been somewhat affected by the elections and pre-board exams.

5. Educational fairs related to higher education and foreign studies

* Description: This week, various educational fairs and seminars targeting students awaiting their Class 12 exams and those who have passed their graduation level have been held in major cities of the country, including the Kathmandu Valley. Organized by NAAER, ECAN and other organizations, these events provided direct consultations to students and parents with representatives of foreign universities for the 2026 academic session.
