1. Convocation ceremony and university activities

👉 21st convocation of Pokhara University: 6,622 students from various levels and faculties were convocationed in a ceremony organized at Khudi Dhungepatan, Kaski.

👉 First convocation of Nepal Open University: The Prime Minister has conferred degrees on 545 graduate students from various faculties of Nepal Open University.

👉 Lost answer book case at Tribhuvan University: Tribhuvan University has formed a three-member high-level committee to investigate the serious incident of the loss of answer books of two undergraduate subjects.

👉 Student growth in Tribhuvan University affiliate campuses: Data has been made public that the number of students has doubled in the affiliate campuses of Tribhuvan University (such as Birendra Multiple Campus) in recent times.

2. Government policies, scholarships and local level efforts

👉 Call for scholarship applications: Kathmandu Metropolitan City has reopened applications for the final nomination of scholarships for grades 11 and 12, while Gokarneshwor Municipality has decided to provide 50 percent scholarships to students who want to study nursing.

👉 Construction of technical hub: The process of constructing an educational and technical hub in Dang is underway. Under this, the study of computer engineering will be started in Ghorahi itself.

👉 Need for investment in laboratories: Speaking at a public program, Minister for Education, Science and Technology Bidya Bhattarai has emphasized the need to invest in high-tech labs in schools and campuses for the prosperity of the country.

3. Institutional and other educational activities

👉 Concern over the delay in the Education Act: Private school operators have drawn the government’s attention to the delay in the School Education Act, saying that the private education sector is being pushed towards crisis due to the failure to promulgate the School Education Act on time.

👉 National PABSON Convention: The second convention of National PABSON in Gandaki Province has been concluded and a new 9-member committee has been formed under the chairmanship of Sikander Gurung.

👉 Cambridge results released: Cambridge International Education has released the exam results, showing a 9% increase in the number of students appearing for the exam from around the world, including Nepal, compared to last year.
